Ronny Castillo González is a Costa Rican investment and corporate finance advisor, and the founder of Forests VC, a natural-capital investment firm focused on developing and managing forestry assets. His work brings together finance, legal structuring and technology to make investment in natural assets more transparent and traceable.

Through Forests VC, Ronny works on forestry projects and investment structures, including tokenized timber securities. In 2026, he launched forests.market, a platform designed to map, value and tokenize individual trees using independently verified data. The platform reflects his belief that natural capital should be measured and understood with the same rigour as other asset classes.

With two doctorates and experience spanning securities structuring, financial modelling and technology development, Ronny has built his career around finding practical ways to connect investment with long-term environmental value. He also leads Stem Fusion LLC, a biotech company, and Soma, a hospitality business in Costa Rica.

At the heart of Ronny’s work is a “People, Planet, Profit” approach: the belief that financial returns, environmental responsibility and benefits for people can be pursued together. Through his writing, he hopes to explore how better data, thoughtful investment design and new technology can support a more accountable natural-capital economy.
